Jeffrey became Administrator of Saint Elizabeth Home in 2015, succeeding Matt Trimble who is now Chief Operating Officer for Saint Elizabeth Community.
Jeff has worked for Health Concepts Ltd. for the past 8 years, most recently as the Administrator of Woodpecker Hill Health Center in Greene, RI and prior to that as the Administrator of Elmwood Health Center. Before joining Health Concepts, he was the Director of Admissions and Administrator in Training at Elmhurst Extended Care in Providence. While at Elmhurst, Jeff played a lead role in the organization becoming the only Eden Alternative Certified Home in Rhode Island and he is a Certified Eden Associate. A member of the American College of Health Care Administrators Jeff also served as former Chairman of RI Generations, the RI Long Term Care Culture Change Coalition.
A graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a BS in Business Administration, Jeff continued his studies at Providence College completing the Long Term Care Administration program and earned his Nursing Home Administrators License and is licensed in both RI and CT. Jeff resides in Thompson Connecticut with his wife and son, and enjoys running, hiking, fishing, golf, and home improvement projects. A true New Englander, Jeff is a Patriots and Red Sox fan.
Andrea Smith, RN
Director of Nursing Services
Andrea Smith, a 15 year employee of The Saint Elizabeth Home, manages a 24-hour, 115-person staff of caregivers. She reports directly to the administrator and is a member of senior staff at Saint Elizabeth Home.
She is a nursing graduate of the Community College of Rhode Island and is certified in gerontology. In addition to her full-time capacity, Andrea volunteers as a member of the Urban League Guild.
Meghan Coffey, RN
Assistant Director of Nursing
Meghan Coffey is a graduate of Rhode Island College with a BS in Nursing. She joined the staff at Saint Elizabeth Home in July 2005 as a staff nurse. She has worked as Admissions Coordinator for Saint Elizabeth Home, while also working weekly as a nurse on the short term rehab wing. Meghan has excelled in every role she has been assigned and brings great knowledge and compassion to her role as Assistant Director of Nursing.

Kathy has been responsible for assisting families and potential applicants with the admissions process within the Saint Elizabeth Community since 1997. She’s a graduate of Salve Regina University with a degree in social work and has been working within the healthcare industry since 1992.
Melody Shechtman, RN
Melody Shechtman has been married to her husband Kent for 44 years, with one son, Michael. She worked at Kent Hospital for many years, and also at RI Hospital, including some homecare nursing as well as some school substitute nursing. She graduated from Salve Regina University with a bachelors degree in science of nursing and a masters degree in health services. Baking is one of her favorite past times, as well as home decorating, knitting and going to ‘antique car shows.’
Frank O'Brien, PHR
Human Resources Manager
Frank is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a BS in Business Management, and a concentration in Human Resource Management. He earned his Professional in Human Resource Certificate (PHR) through the Human Resource Certification Institute as well as his Certified Professional Certificate (SHRM-CP) through the Society for Human Resource Management. In 2015 Frank was the first person from Rhode Island to graduate from the LeadingAge Leadership Academy. With more than 10 years experience in health care, he is responsible for the management of human resources at Saint Elizabeth Home, Saint Elizabeth Court, Saint Elizabeth Place and Saint Elizabeth Terrace.
