Saint Elizabeth Community is redefining eldercare in Rhode Island.
Our healthcare environment demands we keep abreast of best practices and innovative caregiving. It is with this in mind that we have taken great steps towards achieving a $27 million master facilities plan tied directly to our vision of caring for the ever-changing needs of our resident and their families.
To make these dreams a reality, Eldercare Redefined was launched in 2016 with the full support of the Board of Trustees, longtime supporters, and the leadership team. Areas of the master facilities plan were identified for support and a goal of $4.5 million was set.
“We invite you to join us in making a gift to Eldercare Redefined. Your gift demonstrates your commitment to providing our elders and families continued access to the highest quality, compassionate care. Make a gift, make a difference.”
Craig and Sue Carpenter
Co-Chairs Eldercare Redefined
Areas include: The Green House Homes, The Manor North Wing Addition and Renovation, capital needs at Cornerstone Adult Services and more!
The impact of your support has never been more apparent than it is right now. With a gift to Eldercare Redefined you are helping to touch the lives of our elders and their families in ways we could have only dreamed.
THE GREEN HOUSE® Homes
The GREEN HOUSE® Project is a new concept of providing long term care in a home-like environment.
In May 2017, we opened four Green House Homes in East Greenwich…the first in Rhode Island!
Each home has 12 private bedrooms with private bathrooms and showers. The homes are built to provide space for both privacy and community.
The bedrooms encircle the shared space which includes a dining room, kitchen and hearth room. These homes have all the amenities that make them real homes, complimented by the features of a state-of-the-art nursing home. The homes are open and full of life…our residents are THRIVING!
With a $12.5 million investment, The Green House Homes are just one way that Saint Elizabeth Community is redefining eldercare. The homes are open and full of life, but our work is not done. Your gift today will ensure our residents continue to thrive.
Manor North Wing Addition & Main Dining Room Renovation
The Rehab Center at Saint Elizabeth Manor is a true gem in the East Bay community. This exceptional state-of-the-art rehab center opened in 2016 as an addition to, and renovation of, the North Wing of Saint Elizabeth Manor.
Private patient rooms, a new entrance and dining area, are just some of the wonderful attributes of The Rehab Center at Saint Elizabeth Manor. We have invested over $6.2 million into this project but there’s one more critical piece!
The main dining room is currently under construction. Significant structural issues with the dining room’s solarium and serious drainage challenges in the courtyard required immediate attention. As the single largest room in the manor, the main dining room is used not only for dining, but for residents to socialize with family and friends, enjoy entertainment and participate in special events.
When this $350,000 project is complete, the new dining area will be more open and spacious, provide more direct view for residents during activities and allow easier access to the outdoors. We need your help!
Cornerstone Adult Services
Cornerstone Adult Day Centers provide an invaluable benefit to family members expending a great effort to keep their loved ones at home.
As the landscape of eldercare changes, and our population ages, so too do our needs. There is more demand today than ever before for these vital, community-based Adult Day Center services. And an emerging need has arisen for program expansion.
Our plan will include a wide array of health and wellness programs and early memory care program in a greatly enhanced, accommodating, engaging environment. Your gift will help the staff of Cornerstone redefine eldercare each day as they help to find the best solutions for our participants and their families. Make a gift today!
These projects are all visible reminders of our work to redefine eldercare in Rhode Island. In addition, we will expand and modernize our technological infrastructure to better serve our residents and families and more effectively communicate with healthcare professionals throughout Saint Elizabeth Community and beyond. Finally and equally important, we will add to our endowment, which is so critical in sustaining all we do for those in our care.
